Nominations for the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2013 are now being accepted and discussed - - details in our "Around the Horn" section below . . . "Home" is our lead music selection . . . On Sunday May 19, we continue our "Fantastic 5" presentation of five El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Honored Inductees in alphabetical order by their first name: Class of 2001 Member William Sanchez Jr. who was a multi-sport star at El Paso High School and Denver University, selected "Minor League Executive of the Year" in 1978 and named the Director for the 1980 Major League All Star Game; Class of 2000 Member Willie Tapia a 2X All District player for Ysleta High School who won numerous batting titles often hitting over .400 from age 13 through his days in the Old Timers League and Class of 2004 Member Yvan Armando Rechy who was a multi-sport star at El Paso High School and Texas Western, he was a "Umpire Extraordinaire" and he has been inducted into 3 different Halls of Fame . . . A special thanks to Mrs. Dorothy Osborne for her table decorations, baseball posters and door prizes for our female guests. Attendees experienced a great “wow” when they entered the room.

Our President Coach Bob Osborne designed and built the awards boards and was once again meticulous in his planning and organization and deserves a “very special thank you”.

Our 2010 Induction Banquet was a total success. Thank You for helping to make the night special for Butch Henry, Shawn Lehigh, Joey Pennies, Gilbert De La Rosa and Frank Del Toro. We had a sold out crowd to honor our inductees and 2010 honorees including El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame High School Coach of the Year Jesse Munoz, Hall of Fame College Player of the Year Oscar Garcia, Hall of Fame High School Player of the Year Kyle Bumpas, El Paso Community College Player of the Year Kristoffer Koerper and El Paso Diablos Player of the Year Kyle Nichols.
