In 1975, he signed a free agent contract to play with the Ciudad Juarez Indios of the Mexican League
Batted .327 in 56 games with Indios
In the late 1960’s and 1970’s, he played Semi-professional baseball in El Paso and Ciudad Juarez
He struck out 22 batters in a game pitching for Gasca Body Shop in the Liga Fronteriza
Named “Most Valuable Player” of the Liga Fronteriza in 1971
Batting Champion with a .367 batting average of the Liga Fronteriza in 1972
Played in “50 and Over” League for 4 seasons
His team won the League Championship in 2004; team was Runner-Up in 2008
Also played in “35 and Over” League from 2007 to 2009
High School Baseball Coach from 1983 to 2001
Coached Junior Varsity Baseball at Jefferson High School from 1983 to 1987
Named Head Baseball Coach at Austin High School and led Panthers from 1987-1993
In his first season at Austin, he led his team to a 17-7 record reversing the previous years 7-17 record
In 1988 and 1989, the Panthers finished second in District 1-5A
Defeated the Socorro Bulldogs in Bi-District series but lost to Abilene Cooper in Area Round
Named El Paso Times High School Coach of the Year in 1989
In 1996, he moved to Socorro as an assistant coach to El Paso Baseball Hall of Famer Coach Chris Forbes
Bulldogs captured District Championship that year
Named Head Baseball Coach at Americas High School in 1997 and finished his coaching career there in 2001
Inducted into the Latin-American Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of
Fame, Houston, Texas 2006
Inducted into the Juarez Athletic Hall of Fame,
