Earned induction into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Hill Junior College
Started as short stop for UTEP in 1980 hitting .377 and set a team record for hitting doubles in 8 consecutive games
Umpired from 1976-1983
Assistant Baseball Coach and later named Head Baseball Coach at Eastwood High School
Succeeded by 3 former players as Head Baseball Coach at Eastwood High School
Returned to duty as an Assistant Coach for Eastwood High School in 2016 and 2017
Known as “Coach Caz”
